C. Ayoka Dorsey Lawson, spent her early years buried in books. She was a voracious reader with a big imagination, and soon television and movies untucked her head. She became enthralled with the wonder of stage/screen storytelling. After a career in nonprofit and education, Ayoka pursued a career in acting that led her to work professionally in both the Equity and SAG/AFTRA unions. As a writer/director, she has written and produced her original works and directed regional productions. She is the Drama Ministry Director at The Potter’s House of Dallas. There, God uses her to write, direct, and run volunteer ministry-based programs geared toward the training and professional development of Christian writers, actors, and producers.
