Destiney Peters, a native of Little Rock, Arkansas has studied and taught dance across all ages and dance styles for more than 20 years. She received her minor in Dance Performance from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock in 2001. In 2007, she founded Steps of Grace Dance, which is an organization that focuses on cultivating a dancer’s desire and passion for dance through technical training. Destiney received her Master of Science Degree in Communication Disorders from Texas Woman’s University and currently works as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a local elementary school where she also serves as the dance club sponsor. Currently, Destiney teaches dance at the Family D.R.E.A.M Center in Mansfield, TX where she is one of the instructors for preschool and school aged children. A 14-year member of the Potter’s House Dance Ministry, Destiney has had the privilege of ministering several dance pieces with the team. For the past 10 years, she has served as the team’s technical coach and one of the choreographers. She has also been the ballet/modern dance instructor for the Alive Dance conference since its inception in 2005. Destiney is passionate about dance and believes that it has the ability to give life and bring healing and freedom to all who experience it. She is married to Jared Peters and has two sons, Joshua and Andrew.
