Dr. Clifton Clarke is a Bishop, College Professor, and the CEO of the Global Empowerment Network. He is an ordained Bishop in the Church of God and has pastored and taught Theology in the UK, Ghana, and the United states. He is the Associate Dean of the William E. Pannell Center for African American Church Studies and the Associate Professor of Black Church Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. Dr. Clarke was born and raised in the United Kingdom and completed his PhD at the University of Birmingham in the UK, where he researched Post-colonial African Christianity. He and his wife, Marcia, also spent ten years in Ghana, West Africa, where Dr. Clarke worked as a College Professor for various institutions, Pastor, and humanitarian. As the Chief Executive of the Global Empowerment Network, Dr. Clarke equips and empowers Global Leaders to minister in cross-cultural settings. He is the author of a number of 9 books, including African Christology: Jesus in Post-missionary Africa; African Pentecostalism and the Islamic Dilemma. He is married to Marcia and they have two children: Joel and Jessica.
